Coco Rose is a Montreal based Funk and Soul band that has been active since the winter of 2019. Composed of 8 musicians who share the common goal of playing groovy and festive music share influences that come mainly from bands in the contemporary funk genre such as Lawrence, Lettuce and Sammy Rae & The Friends. Being composed mostly of musicians who went to jazz school, we can hear influences from this style in their songs, as well as many others such as dixieland, or R&B. At the present time, Coco Rose's repertoire consists entirely of original songs, still written with the intention of creating groovy and festive music, with themes such as inclusion, friendship and love being at the forefront.
